The Turf Center is located on a 100 acre multi-purpose facility located just west
of OSU's main campus at 3425 W. Virginia Avenue and is adjacent to the Botanic Garden at OSU.
Research Focus
The research emphasis of the Turf Center is ornamental and recreational turfgrass
varieties. Additionally, our unique geographic location near the confluence of two
watersheds, Stillwater Creek and Cow Creek, allows to to serve as a host for various
research projects dealing with environmental and water management issues.
Turfgrass varieties developed by OSU researchers have become world-renowned. OSU varieties
have become the choice for many athletic fields and public parks.
