Oklahoma State University’s Cimarron Valley Research Station was awarded the 2021 Best of Perkins Award in the Farm category by the Perkins Award Program earlier this month.
Each year, the Perkins Award Program identifies companies that have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. The program chooses companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
“OSU Ag Research is honored to have the Cimarron station recognized,” said Chris Richards, director of the Field and Research Service Unit. “The station works with the Perkins community to generate and disseminate new knowledge through agricultural research.”
The station conducts work with central Oklahoma commodities, such as cattle, forages, pecans and wheat. Additional research includes work with grapes, turf grass, vegetables and ornamental landscape plants.
