New wheat variety to combat head scab fungal disease

Oklahoma State University Agriculture recently released Scab Stryker, a wheat variety resistant to the fungal disease fusarium head blight. Scab Stryker research trials performed the best against head scab for four years in a row.

Sam Fuhlendorf, a regents professor in the Oklahoma State University Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management, recently received the Society for Range Management W.R. Chapline Research Award from the Society of Range Management for his contributions to rangeland ecology and management.
